WEEKEND PROJECTS

This weekend we had a weekend at home without Lee having to work so we decided to work on some projects. Saturday, we did some early Christmas shopping. I had to persuade Lee to starting early this year. With 2 families to buy presents for, it just makes more sense to start a bit earlier. Also, we really won't have time to shop again until mid-December (crazy shopping time which makes me cringe!) because of our traveling plans. We got lots accomplished and more ideas while we were out and about! We love getting ready for Christmas!

Today we tackled a long, over due project that Dad had helped us get ready for in May. Sorry Dad it's taken so long for us to get to it, but with our crazy schedules and rare weekends at home without activities, it's just been on the back burner. Today we painted our shed, or as we like to call it, the barn! It was our first big household project together and it went great! It took about about 2 1/2 hours from start to finish. Looks good Dad! Thanks for getting us started with it! And although there are no pictures of me painting....I really did help. I just happened to be the photographer :)

The End Result!
It looks the same as before, but it will last longer because we are taking good care of it!

THE CREW CAME TO VISIT

A few friends came in town a couple of weeks ago to visit baby Eli Lanier, and of course the rest of us! We did lot of fun stuff, but mostly we ate, and ate, and ate some more (something we all enjoy way too much!). We oooed and ahhed over little Eli, passed him around from one person to another and just loved on him! But most of all we just enjoyed spending time with each other because it's rare when we all get together. Amy, Jonathan and Jennifer all came to Wilmington so we had quite a busy weekend. I think Amy fell in LOVE with Eli...can you tell?

We also had a fun night out while the crew was here. Katie and Eric got a babysitter for Eli and we hit the town! We had fun dancing the night away and just enjoying each other. We are constantly laughing and never miss a beat with each other, although it can be months at a time between our visits. Amy, we miss you so much and love it when you visit....and hate it more when you have to go back to Dallas. Come back soon! :)
