Eatin' A Chicken Leg

So as most of you know, Ryan has eating issues.  He drives us bonkers with things he'll eat, and things he won't eat.  Thankfully, Seth hasn't gotten that memo yet!!  Also, most of you know that Lee can eat some chicken in a way that most people can't.  Lee loves wings and can clean a bone in a few seconds. It's really a site to see.  I digress....  Anyway, on Sunday night we got a rotisserie chicken from Costco.  Lee had all the parts of the chicken that I don't like--the legs, the wings, etc and Ryan was asking Lee what they were.  He offered him the leg and Ryan took it and chowed down.  That was so crazy.  This kid never ceases to amaze me....

Crashed

Our beloved laptop crashed last weekend. So while I was already behind a bit with blogging, I'm way behind now. All of my pictures and videos are on the other computer and I'm assured that we can recover them but it's most definitely a painful process that takes time that neither Lee, Poppy, nor myself have time to deal with right now. We bought a new laptop this week but I'd rather be tortured than set this new laptop up. All the software that needs to be updated or installed and all the little things that you don't even think about with your old and familiar computer has to be set up. Hopefully we'll be back in business soon....but not without some serious heartburn first!!!

Seth and the Spaghetti

This kid LOVES to eat....I never imagined in a million years I would be saying that if you would have asked me 4 months ago, but man, he loves to eat.  He's had spaghetti before but tonight he fed it to himself.  It was beyond a mess, but so fun to watch him dig in.  He cleaned his plate.  Spaghetti, sweet potato and mixed fruit.

This little guy is getting bigger by the day and I can't believe our baby isn't going to be a baby for much longer.  He'll be 1 in about 5 weeks!!  Here he's chatting it up with Daddy after his morning bottle....sweet, sweet moments!  :)

 

Ryan (2 yrs, 9 months)

Ryan is a hard kiddo so shoot sometimes so I have to grab the camera and get to it when the time is right.  I took him outside one day last week when it wasn't too sunny and wasn't 100 degrees to see if I could get a few shots of him......

1st Day of Preschool

Ryan started his second year at First Baptist Church Christian Preschool last Wednesday.  Last year he was in the toddler class and this year he is in the Twos class.  We love his preschool and am so thankful we have the opportunity to send him to school 3 days a week (8:45-11:45).  He loves it so much and has a blast!  Here are a few pics from his first day.  Seth is in one too! 



 

45th Anniversary

Poppy and CC celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary a couple of weeks ago on August 18.  We got a babysitter so we could go to dinner with them and headed downtown and ate at The Pilot House.  We all had wonderful meals and enjoyed celebrating their anniversary.  It's a huge milestone for them to be married for 45 years!  I can't even imagine!  Mom and Dad have been a great example to us of how a strong marriage works.  They have been wonderful parents and grandparents.  I respect them so much and am so proud that they are still going strong in their marriage.  They are truly 2 peas in a pod!  Their dedication to each other and their family is amazing.  Thanks for being an amazing couple!!  We love you!!!
