Swim Lessons

Ryan and I have been going to Infant/Parent American Red Cross swim lessons at the YWCA this week. It's been fun to get him in the water and get him used to it! He's even gone under 3 times!! (Not that he liked it...) Lee had today off so he went with us. Here's some pics from our time at the pool. Daddy got in on some of the fun too.

Birthdays

Both mine and Lee's birthdays are a few days apart in June so we usually decide to go out once to save some money.  Saturday night Poppy and CC watched Ryan so we could go out on a dinner date and celebrate.  Here are some pics from before we headed out the door!

These days...

...are precious.

Lovin' his feet

Our little guy loves his feet....as you will see below. It's so funny! He likes to grab them every chance he gets and even tries to put them in his mouth (mommy did that too). Even when he's supposed to be eating! Oh yeah, here he is in a 12 month outfit....did I mention he has rolls?

Father's Day

Lee had a good 1st Father's Day. Here's a couple pics from after we got home from church. Ryan was being a wiggler in Lee's lap. He's gotten to the stage of wanting to move all around!

He loves his Daddy!!

6 Months

Ryan is now 6 months old! We can't believe it. The time has flown by and it seems like yesterday we had a tiny little newborn. Ryan had is 6 month well check this week.

Here's his stats: Our little guy is 18lbs!!! He's our chunky little monkey. The rolls are endless and we LOVE it. Super cute. The doctor said we have a buddha baby and that it's a good thing for him developmentally. Guess he's well nourished! He was 55 % with the weight, 40 % with his head circumference and 10% in height (but the doc thinks this measurement was wrong so it shouldn't be this low).

Things Ryan is doing now: he's sitting up for long periods of time, rolling over to his belly from his back, talking lots of baby talk, sleeping all night, smiling and laughing when you talk to him, is very ticklish, is getting to be a challenge on the changing table because of the wiggles, is still nursing, is eating solids (carrots, green beans, avocado, sweet potatoes, prunes, etc), and is all around a happy boy. We haven't totally gotten to the stranger anxiety stage yet, but he can get leery of new people sometimes, especially if they are loud or it's a crowd of people. We are loving all these fun things and are trying to cherish all the little moments. Before we know it, our growing boy will be crawling!! (mommy isn't ready for that yet!!)

Topsail Beach #2

All the Craft men!

Matthew was a busy boy on the beach. It was hard to photograph the 4 yr old in action but here he is looking at Grandy's fishing pole.

Nana and Grandy!

Grandy loves to fish. Here he is in action.

Mama is sneaking in some reading on the beach while Ryan was naping. Who knew that I would be able to completely read a James Patterson novel on vacation with a 6 month old??!! Ryan is still indifferent about the beach. He doesn't like the water but enjoys watching the waves role in.

Our attempt at a family picture was hard; the wind was incredible. It even blew our camera off the table we were proping it on. Here's the only pic where we were all looking at the camera.

These days....

Hanging out with Daddy. Ryan has learned that he has a new octave in his voice so he was just squealing like crazy while Lee was laying down on the floor with him. It was quite funny! He's changing every day!!

We love bath time. So cute! Guess we really should put him in the big bath tub now that he can sit up. He's really out grown the baby bath tub!
