Sitting Up

Today was a big day for Ryan. First, I caught him rolling from his back to his stomach this morning but he couldn't figure out what to do with his arm so he rolled back to his back. We haven't seen that again since this morning. Then, later this morning he sat up when I propped him up! I can't believe he's getting so big. Next he'll be moving and rolling all over the place! Mommy and Daddy better watch out!!

First Beach Day

We went to the beach today with Ryan for the first time. It went pretty well!! He really wasn't real interested in the sand yet since he can't sit up by himself so we didn't have a totally sandy baby when we got home. It was fun to go out there as a family! It takes lots of stuff as you can imagine!

On our way home he crashed in his car seat....long enough for Daddy to run into Harris Teeter to get our weekly groceries. I hung out with him in the car while he napped! He was tired!!

Swinging

Yesterday Katie, Eli, Ryan and I went to walk the loop and then played at the Wrightsville Beach park and packed our lunches. Fun stuff!! Here are some pics from Ryan's first time in a bucket swing. He and Eli rode together first then Ryan rode by himself. What a big boy! We'll have to get a swing for our yard. He really liked it! He's getting so big!!

Carrots

Ryan has been eating oatmeal cereal now for about 2 weeks and has got that down pat. He's a good eater so it was time to move on to bigger and better things. We decided to start Ryan on carrots. We bought some organic carrots and made a batch of food for our little one. Pretty easy and he seemed to enjoy it! Next will be avocado!

5 months

Our little guy is 5 months old already! We can't believe it! A lot has happened in the past month...traveled the world, met his cousins, started eating solid foods, sleeping through the night totally (7-7) and I'm sure more, but Mommy can't remember it all! It's been a fun month leading up to Ryan's 5 month birthday. We've been busy! Ryan is now 16 lbs + and is a chunky monkey. He's got super cute rolls on his arms and legs. Too cute! Here are a couple of pics of him recently.

Just going with the flow. I must say, our little guy did awesome on this trip. He went with the flow a lot....and handled all the transitions like a pro. What a great world traveler!!
