The Past Couple of Weeks

Ryan's taking swimming lessons at UNCW and they have been challenging to say the least.  He's not been happy with taking swim lessons but today was the best day so far.  We're hoping for another good day tomorrow.  Today he even jumped off the diving block without his bubble.  Or really, the teachers helped him in but he at least went off!!! 

This sweet thing loves his Monkey!!!!!!  Couldn't resist taking a quick pic before I needed to wake Seth up from his nap. 

Lee and I had a date night last Saturday night to celebrate our birthdays.  Mine was on the 16th and his is tomorrow.  We ate at Portland Grill and it was delish!  We were SO happy we decided to go there!  After dinner we went to Dockside and enjoyed the view.  We love this town.  It never gets old seeing this view!

Sweetness

Oh my goodness.  I could just eat him up!  This little guy is turning into a full toddler before our eyes.  He's getting more verbal by the day, having more opinions by the day as toddlers do, and is all around a funny little guy that goes with the flow (mostly).  He's so little that I sometimes forget that he's almost 20 months old, but he is really getting close to being a 2 yr old.  How crazy is that??!!  At his last weight check last week he was 20.8 lbs.  His hair is really growing in and getting thicker plus it's getting blonder.  He will get another trim this week when Ryan has his hair cut.  Our little guy is growing up so fast!!

Seth needed some Mama snuggles after his nap one day last week.  He just didn't want me to put him down so I loved on him for quite a while.  I love it when he wants to snuggle on my shoulder!!!  :)

I caught the boys reading together on Friday after breakfast.  They really play well together (mostly) these days and they tend to have their best play time together right after breakfast.  (As the day wears on, both need to be entertained by me more)  They were cute sitting together reading....I had to catch a shot of it!

Wrightsville With Cousins

We got to spend this week with David's family and Poppy and CC at Wrightsville Beach.  It was an action packed week playing on the beach.  The kids had a blast playing in the water and sand!  My cell phone is always "full" so I didn't get any shots of the kids on the beach but I did get these shots from our evenings.
We walked across the way from the condo to the docks and took some pics. 

 One night we went out on the beach to look for shells. 

Our last night together and our first attempt at a family picture.  Much coordination went into this!  We're hoping to try again on the beach later in the summer.

Seeing David's Family

Last weekend we headed to Burlington to see David and family.  We were so excited to finally get to see them.  It'd been 2 years since their last visit and Ryan really doesn't remember them from that visit so this visit is going to be huge for him and making lasting memories.  Lorraine and the big kiddos went to Raleigh the Thursday we headed to Btown so when we arrived we initially hung out with Baby Gabrielle and David.  Ryan and Seth were taken by Baby G.  She's so cute and interacts with them.  Ryan laid down on the floor and just played with her and talked to her.  It was SO cute.  Seth really loves her too.  We have to watch him though....he can be a bit heavy handed and try to sit on her or lay on her.  But not in a bad way, he just wants her to play with him.  Next visit Buddy, she'll be all yours!

We had lots of fun swimming time!

We had a great time seeing David's crew.  It was awesome to see how the kids just fell into rhythm with each other.  Ryan LOVES them so much and I love to see him get to play with his cousins.  It's going to be so hard when they leave to go home.  I'll try to explain it, but I'm pretty sure he won't understand.  We're going to make some great memories this summer while they are here and enjoy the time we have together!  I want Ryan and Seth to have lasting memories of Dave's family and times they did get to see each other!
