Shower in Farmville

Elaine's friends hosted a wonderful baby shower for Lee and I in Farmville a few weeks ago. The shower was really nice and the ladies of Farmville were very generous to us to help us prepare for Baby Ryan's arrival. Funny thing, I forgot all of my hang up clothes....meaning all I had to wear was jeans and tshirts. Not really baby shower appropriate :) Elaine and her friend Jeanine came to the rescue. They both went through their closets to hopefully find something I could wear to the shower. I was freaking out!!! Elaine found a dress in her closet that worked. Thank goodness.... It's not like Target is down the street!

Missing them.....

David, Lorraine and the girls have been safe and sound back in China now for about a month. We're thankful that they made it back safely. It's was a fun and busy summer with them here. I can't tell you how hard it is to say goodbye to those that you love so much. It's hard, but just part of the deal. We learn to say goodbye, but it never gets easier. The kiddos make it even harder. We love them so much and are glad they are getting back to their normal life.

Last Weekend

Last weekend was David, Lorraine and the girls last weekend here for a couple of years. We enjoyed our last full day together hanging out and rooting on NC State. Yes, we are a tried and true NC State family (plus Florida too). NC State has been doing really well this season and we were hoping for one more good game, but it didn't work out too well for our team. Oh well. We had fun rooting them on and watching the game as a family. The girls started off the day with their cute NC State cheerleading uniforms so we all just all fell in line with the color scheme for part of the day. Kinda cheesey I know, but it made for a good family photo on their last full day in America. GO NCSU!!

Beach Days

We had a great vacation at Wrightsville a few weeks ago. Fortunately for us, it was the last good beach weather we've had. We were lucky to enjoy warm days while we were vacationing. Here are a few pics from the family crew.

We went downtown and walked on our beautiful river front. Great sunsets for sure!
