Coker Christmas, part 3

Our Christmas travels have also allowed us to visit with some friends and family from out of town.    Ryan and I went to visit Amy and her parents for a couple of hours on Monday.  He was wide open at her parents house....kinda hard to keep him from wanting to touch everything!!  It was good to see Amy!

We were supposed to fly to Villa Rica, GA on Wednesday to visit our relatives for 2 nights but our plans changed when our cousin Jordan got a bad stomach bug.  It wouldn't have been good for us to go stay at their house with her so sick.  We are so bummed we didn't get to go....and I know Ryan is bummed too.  He would have loved all the attention he would have gotten from everyone!!  Today we decided to fly to Toccoa, GA to visit my Uncle Henry and Aunt Sara and my great aunts and uncle.  We had a busy day flying to and from and Ryan was a trooper.  He's a great traveler and did really well going and coming home.  It was great to see them and get a chance to visit, even if it was short!

Here we are right before bath time tonight.  Boy, are we tired!!!!!!!  It's been a long day today!!!!

Coker Christmas, part 2

The Santa suit made another appearance at Poppy and CC's house. Mom had also found a Santa hat that fit him perfectly to top off the suit.  Too cute!  These pictures are from Christmas night before Ryan went to bed.

Ryan's visit with Santa

Lee and I took Ryan to see Santa before we headed home for the holidays. We were pretty sure he wouldn't like sitting with him but we thought we'd take a chance and see. As we walked into Santa's Workshop we noticed there was no line...which seemed strange to us considering it was the Saturday before Christmas. There were parents and kids standing off to the side and we thought that was sort of odd. So we proceeded right up to Santa and put Ryan on his lap. The tears began immediately. And they weren't stopping. Ahhh...we realized why there were a few families off to the side. It was the area where parents comfort their kids if they weren't too thrilled with the idea of sitting on Santa's lap. So we joined them. We waved to Santa and pointed him out to Ryan in hopes of him becoming a bit more comfortable. After a few minutes we decided to try again and if he didn't go for it, we'd just leave with no picture. He cried again but stopped for about 5 seconds when this picture was taken. Big tear and all. He survived a visit with Santa and hopefully next year won't be so bad!! Here's his picture with Santa!

Coker Christmas, part 1

We made our way to Burlington Christmas morning to see my parents. Lee was only able to stay till Monday afternoon but Ryan and I are still here visiting and are flying to GA tomorrow to see our extended family.

Trying to get a squirming toddler to sit still in a little chair becomes quite humorous but we managed to get him to sit there for a brief second or two.

Opening gifts with Poppy and CC.

CC had on a pretty necklace and Ryan became fixated on it.  It was quite funny.  You can see in this picture he's still got a grip on it!

Ryan and Daddy got new NCSU hats.  GO PACK!!

It was all hands on deck when Ryan went down for his nap.  Time to start prepping and cooking our Christmas dinner!  Yum!

Both Ryan and Lee got NCSU toboggans too.  Too cute!

And you know we had go outside to play for a little bit!!

Christmas in Farmville

Lee, Ryan, and I traveled to Farmville on the 23rd to start our family Christmas celebrations. We stayed from Friday morning till Sunday morning with Lee's family. It was fun to visit with everyone!

Playing outside with Nana!

Grandy and their next door neighbor, Mr. Long, "telling lies" as Lee would say out on the patio.  They like to sit on the porch and talk....and we never know what kind of stories come up when we're out there but they're always having fun!

CC bought Ryan this Santa outfit.  It was super cute and fit just right.  If Ryan was any bigger it wouldn't have worked!

Ho! Ho! Ho!  Merry Christmas!!

We had our Christmas celebration around lunch time on Christmas Eve with Lee's family.  Here are a few pictures from our time with them as we opened gifts and visited.

Matthew was extremely excited about every gift he got.  It was funny but we are glad he's so appreciative and excited about all the gifts, even the little ones!

Uncle Jay and Aunt Belinda with Ryan-

Cousins....but as you can tell, Ryan wasn't going for it.  This was the best of about 5 or 6 shots like this in an attempt to get a decent one!

Ok...so Ryan went for this shot a bit better.  Saved by Uncle Jay!

Christmas Morning.....Ryan is holding one of his presents from Santa Clause.
