NC State Game

We decided to bite the bullet and get tickets to a State game for this fall. This game worked particularly well with our school schedule so we decided to go to the NCSU/Duke game this past weekend. It was great to have a weekend away from our studies, something we probably won't be able to do again until December when the semester is over. We stayed with Jonathan, whom we always love to visit. The weather was forecast to be rainy and yucky so I was quite leary of going to a game in the rain and tailgating with Lee's friends for a while before the game started. Just doesn't sound like as much fun in the rain as it does with the sun shinning:) On Saturday we debated and finally we agreed that I wouldn't go to the game because of the high chance of rain and instead go shopping with Jonathan. When Jonathan and I left the mall at 2pm it was sunny so I decided to call Lee and see if he still had my ticket. Yep, it was a go. Jonathan and I hurried and dropped me off at a point to meet Lee and I was able to join Lee and crew for the game. I was so glad the weather turned pretty. We went to the game and had fun. The weather held out for the entire game although there were lots of black clouds towards the end of the game. State lost to Duke in a poor attempt to play football. It was a bad game, but at least we went. And, we got to hang out with old friends! Thanks to Jonathan who is always willing to let us come visit and crash at his place!

We forgot everything when we were packing...quite litteraly...I don't know what planet we were on, but we forgot my tennis shoes, the camera, the GPS, my cell charger, etc. You get the point. Anyway, I took some pictures from my cell phone and have loaded them. The one picture we were trying to get someone to take of the two of us didn't turn out. Guess that 's the problem with having it be so complicated because of being on a cell phone.

THE HOLIDAYS

The Christmas and New Year's holidays were busy for Lee and I. We traveled to Farmville and to Burlington to spend time with both sets of parents. It was a nice time to slow down and visit with our families.....although we were quite busy! It was great to see our parents, but boy, we missed our brothers and their families during that time!

Amy visited Wilmington over New Year's week. Here are a couple pictures from the visit. Eli keeps on changing and growing!!

We are in the process of getting ready for our trip to Thailand next week, leaving on Jan. 14. We are super excited and just trying to get all our "stuff" together to start packing....no small feat. We can't wait to get our hands on little Sophia and see David and Lorraine.

Last night we visited with Jay, Belinda and Matthew for our Christmas. Our schedules were so busy we missed each other the week of Christmas. Here, Uncle Lee was playing with Matthew in his Transformers tent we gave him. The tunnel was cool....Although it was all supposed to fold back down easily.... not so much as we tried to pack it up for them to take home!
