Date night and Christmas decorating

Lee and I went out on what was probably our last "date night" before out little guy is born on Saturday night. We ate at our favorite resturaunt Terrazzos. Here we are on our way out the door to eat dinner.

We also decorated for Christmas early. We wanted to make sure we could get it done before Ryan arrives!

3 weeks left!

Lee and I went to the doctor today for our 37 week appointment. Things are looking good. I am not dilated any which is fine by us. We're ok with things going slow and maybe even late. My hands and feet are swelling a bit, my hands are hurting with carpal tunnel and I'm not sleeping well, but other than that, things seem to be going ok. Lee has his finals scheduled. His first exam is Dec. 7 (Ryan's due date) and his second exam is Dec. 9. Let's just say, we can't have a baby before Dec 9! Most first babies are late, so we're just hoping he's a few days late too. That's fine by us ! We don't want Daddy stressed and sidetracked because of school!

More to come.....

5 weeks to go!

Baby Ryan update:
Lee and I went to the doctor today for our 35 week check. Things are looking good. I'm measuring right on the mark for 35 weeks. My blood pressure is really good as well as my iron levels. I'm getting tired and work is definitely a drag, but over all, I'm feeling good. Ryan is growing a lot and is probably at this point at least 5lbs. He's very active, which is really reassuring to Mommy!! I would get scared if I didn't feel him moving around as much as he does. We're finishing up our nursery bit by bit. Hopefully it will be set soon.

Lee is studying hard. His exams start the day Ryan is due. Let's hope Ryan is late, not early! I'd rather Lee get to study and take at least his hardest exam on the first day of his exam week rather than get sidetracked and have to catch up to take both his exams at the end of his one week window of opportunity. I can only imagine a newborn would be a bit distracting!

We start seeing the doctor weekly from here on out. More to come....

Georgia Trip

A couple of weekends ago Dad flew us to Georgia for our early family Thanksgiving time. Since I am only 5 weeks from due date now, we just can't travel (nor do I really feel up for it). So, we flew one last time before it got too close so we could visit everyone before Ryan arrives. We haven't seen all of our Georgia family in months, so it was nice to visit! While we were there, the Robinson crew threw Lee and I a baby shower. They were so generous and gave us some goodies to help us get ready for Ryan's arrival:) One strange thing though, I got a little stomach bug while we were there. Nothing too bad, just annoying. I was still able to socialize and hang out with everyone, which was good. Saturday we relaxed and hung out outside. It was a beautiful fall day. Sunday we flew to Toccoa to see Dad's side of the family on our way back to Wilmington. It was a quick trip!

Mom and my Aunt Elaine practiced some of their twirling moves from back in the day and put on a little show for us. I hope to post a video of this soon, but am having trouble with it. We'll see.
