Ryan's Songs

Ryan likes to sing a few songs at bedtime--Jesus Loves Me, Jesus Loves The Little Children, and You Are My Sunshine.  I was finally able to catch it on video this week at naptime.  He was singing in a choppy kind of way, but you get the drift!

Georgia Trip- (Instagram Pics) part 1

This past weekend we flew to Georgia to visit our relatives in Villa Rica.  The boys and I went with Poppy and CC.  Lee stayed home since he needed to study plus there's no room in the plane for him! Both boys were great fliers.  Seth slept his morning nap pretty well in my arms each way.  Ryan watch some videos and was a happy camper.  The flight was great and it was well worth the attempting to go 4 times to get the great weather we had.  We finally made it....Yippee.  We've been trying to go since Seth was 6 months old and we just made the trip.  Crazy weather and busy schedules to blame....mostly crazy weather.
We had a great visit with everyone.  It's fun to see how the generations of cousins dote over one another.  First it was Mom and Dad doting over Heather and Felicia, then H&F doting over David and I, then David and I doting over Emma, Jordan, Luke and Lance.  Now the big kids are doting over our babies.  Loved.Every.Minute.Of.It.
We had a great visit catching up with all of our family.  It was a overdue trip and we were glad we finally could make it.  It takes a village for us to come visit....they had to borrow 2 pack and plays, a car seat for Seth, a high chair and an exasaucer.  How did our parents travel with us years ago without all this crazy gear??!!
I'm hoping the kids can come visit us this summer, or at least come to Btown when D&L's crew is in the country.  If they come, we'll seriously have a family reunion happening...probably between 15-20 people total (including all the Coker crew) depending on how many of the Robinson crew came.  It would be so fun.
We don't have a lot of family and are sure glad we got the opportunity to go see Mom's side of the family this past weekend.  Hopefully we can do it again in the spring.  Once Seth turns 2, we can't fly anymore.  The law requires him to be in a seat/carseat in the airplane so we don't look forward to after he's 2.

Locked and loaded in the plane, ready for take off!!!
The Cape Fear Bridge from the air.
Dominoes....we love to play when we get together!!
After some research we learned that these kiddos are 2nd cousins to each other.  The big kiddos are my 1st cousins, once removed.
If Emma lived close by, I would put her to work!  She was awesome with the boys and really doted over them.  She was a tremendous help and just truly loved on our boys.  Ryan asked me at least 3 times on Monday where Emma was.  He was missing her something bad.
These kids truly love our children.  We are blessed for sure.  It's a love you only get with family! (We missed Lance in this pic.  Luke, Lance and Jordan are now all 16 and driving and Emma is almost 14.  Where has the time gone?  Seems like yesterday when I was changing their diapers and feeding them bottles.)
I have to say, blue eyes run in our family.  All the kids have blue eyes!!

Fishing

Today was a cold and rainy day for August!  We were house bound most of the day in Surf City but this afternoon the rain finally stopped and we decided to take the older boys fishing.  GG is an avid fisherman and loves to take the kiddos when given the opportunity.  Plus, Lee and Jay don't mind getting in on the action too.  We headed to the Surf City Soundside Park and did a little fishing with the boys.  Ryan and Matthew had a blast.  Mama was bad and forgot my iphone and the battery in the Nikon was dead so these pictures are from Belinda's phone.  I did take the flip so I got a few videos.  GG was even a sweet grandpa to some other kiddos on the pier and helped them catch a fish too.  So sweet.
Here's Lee kissing one of the many little pin fish that he caught.  These buggers were tiny fish but they would snag the bait in a second.  It was good for the little guys to see.  Lots of action!

Sweet GG helping another family catch a couple of fish.

Look Mama.....I Can Pull Up and Cruise!!!!

Surf City Vacation

This week we've been at Surf City with Lee's family on vacation.  It's been fun to visit with Jay, Belinda, Matthew, Nana and GG.  We had several beach days and one cold rainy day that felt like it should have been October!  Good times!!

Sunday

Mama and the boys after church on Sunday.  (Ryan busted his lip on Saturday at the pool, that's why his lip is a bit red.)

Dinner Tonight

It's a serious blessing from God that Seth loves solids.  We've had SO much trouble with him drinking, I'm not sure I could handle it if he rejected solids too.  He's way ahead of where Ryan was at this age with solids.  Of course we were new parents too and didn't realize how much he could really have eaten if we just gave it to him.  So with Seth, we're doing things different.  We're giving him as much solid stuff as we can.  The more, the better.  He seems to be eating it up fine!  Yay!!  Tonight he had meat loaf, green beans and watermelon plus some baby food to get some bulk!  Here are some pictures from tonight.  He's a mess!

Playing Outside in the Sprinkler

Sunday afternoon we bought a sprinkler to put out in the backyard so Ryan could run and play in the water.  We also have a little baby pool so we filled it up with water for Seth.  Ryan had a blast and Daddy got in on some of the action too!
 Seth is maxin' and relaxing!

Last Weekend

Last weekend Lee and I had a weekend alone for the first time since Seth has been born.  It was much needed!!  Lee had his summer school final last Friday too so we timed it just right for him to be out of school for our weekend at the condo alone.  Nana and GG kept the boys for us.  It was a busy weekend for them!!
