Here's a peak of Ryan with Lee after bathtime last night. Sweetness :)

Blueberries + Peanut Butter and Jelly
Our little guy LOVES PB and J and blueberries and the combination of them together makes a messy kiddo!! I knew I had to take off his white shirt before he ate, and boy am I glad I did!! He's a picky guy so we're glad he likes both of these staples! Here's a couple of pics from tonight's dinner time.
Playing Outside
Here are some pics of Ryan playing outside before dinner. I haven't had the camera out in a few days so I thought I'd get in a few shots while he was playing.
Look at those curls :)
Playing with a stick.....his favorite thing in the world!

GO NCSU....not UNC
Katie babysat Ryan for me on Tuesday for so I could go to the doctors office. While Mama was away....Aunt Katie had fun. Maybe a bit too much fun??????? Lee will probably kill me for posting these pictures, but I have to admit, they are kinda funny. Anyone that knows our family knows that we are die hard NC State fans. And NOT Carolina fans. Since Lee and Uncle David both went to State, we can't help but love State. Ryan has borrowed all of Eli's clothes (which has been sooooo generous of Katie), but some how none of Eli's little UNC gear has made it to our house. They know Ryan would never be seen wearing it!!! Well, while Mama was at the doctors, Eli and Ryan played in the sandbox, played with the water table....you name it, they did it....having a blast. I guess Katie was worried that Ryan would get his shirt wet or dirty (I packed extra play clothes and a NCSU hat in case of this) so she dug out one of Eli's little Carolina shirts and hats for Ryan to wear. :) And then the pictures came as proof. Yep, she stepped over the line just a little bit. And Daddy agrees. Here's Ryan playing with Puff, their cocker spaniel and the other cute, but Yucky Carolina pictures. Daddy thinks Katie is brave...... Meanwhile, while I'm at the doctors office Katie texts me a picture of Ryan in this.....All I could do is laugh. I mean, what are best friends for?
A Few Words....
Here is a sampling of the words Ryan can say these days. His vocabulary is growing by the day!! He'll really be talking by the time Baby # 2 arrives!
Fun at Poppy and CC's
Ryan and I headed to Burlington yesterday to spend the weekend with Poppy and CC. Today we went to a HUGE playground that is in Elon. It's so awesome that even some of the equipment is under a canopy for shade. How smart is that? We'd love that in Wilmington!!! Here are a few pics from the playground today!
Mama and Ryan are getting ready to go down the big slide together!!
We decided to practice hunting Easter eggs in the backyard. The grass was perfect for hiding them....thick and green. Much nicer than ours :) Ryan was a champ wandering around picking up his eggs.

Quick Visit
Poppy and CC came down for a very quick visit. They had some things to handle at the condo so it was part business and part play this trip. Here are a couple of pictures from their trip. Yesterday we decided to try the beach again. It was helpful to have extra hands (and arms in my case since my left arm (elbow and wrist) is NOT in good shape) to hold and carry Ryan to the beach and help get him used to the sand and waves. Poppy eased him down from the beach access and we made our way to the hard sand. Ryan held on tight and whined a couple of times but no real breakdown occurred. Yay! Poppy had to squat down with him for 20-30 minutes before he was ok sitting in the sand playing by himself. A big difference from last week! Progress is being made!
Poppy and CC are leaving this morning to head back to Burlington and we are going to go too. Daddy needs a few quiet days to study for a big test next week and we decided that it would be helpful for everyone if Ryan and I went home to Burlington for a weekend visit.

Introducing.....
Baby Craft #2!!! For those of you that don't know, Lee and I are expecting our 2nd baby! We're super excited and are looking forward to the addition to our family. Right now I'm about 9 weeks pregnant and the baby is due around October 27th. Things looked good at our first ultrasound on Monday. We were relieved to hear the little heartbeat and see the little forming baby.
The first picture is the baby from Right to Left is Head to Rump.
The second picture is the baby's mid body region and legs forming.
It was so cool to be able to see him/her wiggling around already! Right now he/she is 2.08 cm long. How crazy tiny is that? To be able to see these images is such a blessing!

Laundry Basket
Ryan is an adventurous little fellow. He like to check things out...especially if they are not normally laying around at our house (we don't normally keep laundry baskets out for him to play in, especially full of clothes that need to be folded)or we're somewhere new. I pulled out a load of his laundry for me to fold while he was playing before bedtime tonight and the next thing I knew he had climbed in the basket and was having a big time. He normally doesn't stray too far when I'm folding laundry, I mean who would roll all over it once I had it neatly folded? He likes to lay on it and roll around but today he just jumped in the basket with all the clothes. Lee and I just laughed. He was having a blast and we just let him figure his way in and out of the basket!

Sleeping Boy
I'm sure any parent could agree....There's nothing like a sleeping baby. I've been wanting to capture Ryan sleeping in his crib for a while now but haven't known how to photograph him in such darkness without startling him awake by an intrusive flash. It's such a sweet thing to witness everyday. Recently I learned how to take pics in such dimness so I thought I'd share a couple of pics of our sleeping boy. He LOVES his crib. It's his safe little place and he is very happy in it. He rolls around and stands on his head before he finally settles down for a nap or for the night and it's so fun to watch on our video monitor. (By the way, the video monitor is our most loved piece of baby equipment ever. I highly recommend one to any parents!!) I wish I had a pic of him sleeping with his booty up in the air....I'll have to work on that one! Here's a couple of pics of our sleeping boy. (Notice Rabbit or Tiger under him tightly....He always sleeps with them close by!)
